Taek Joo Kim is the Chief Technology Officer of LINE Pay Thailand, responsible for the technology organization and engineering strategy for the Payment and Financial Services business within LINE MAN Wongnai Group. He leads the development of LINE Pay’s core infrastructure, ensuring a secure, scalable, and high-performance system that supports the growing digital financial ecosystem.
With over 15 years of experience in software development and technology leadership, he focuses on driving innovation and building high-performing engineering teams that support business growth.
Prior to this, he spent over seven years at LINE Plus Corp in leadership roles, where he helped design and scale the core architecture of LINE OpenChat across multiple markets, including Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan. He also worked at Amazon in Seattle as a Software Development Engineer on large-scale advertising systems.
Taek Joo holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Industrial Systems Engineering from Yonsei University.
